Je aller à la game samedi.
Some interesting facts: Offensive: - Dussault 578 yards + 62 rushing yards. This guy deserves the Off player of the week. It was his first start and even if he played against a defense that is having problems this year, he put the numbers in, well managed his offense and changed plays often at the line of scrimmage which has converted to pretty good gains - OL played well, all players are effective. Spooner and Méthot played a great game for McGill - Casey Cook WOW 297 yards as a WR... very impressive, it was his second start only. Combined with Massey-Hirt, Langelier-Vanasse, Paquette, Tsimalimbo...and Mota, Jorgen and Stewart, this offense is for real Pat Boies is doing a great job with these guys, they might be considered in the Top 3 offense in RSEQ Defensive: - LB's are doing a good job, some of them don't want to pay the price of a first hit on the OL - DB's are not consistent and we may have problems against Bishop's (Heather)...ok I agree...MAJOR problems - DL Ok here I don't understand why coaching staff is still going with a 34-35. Kadeem Lewis is good but any team that can run the ball will do it especially in the whole where some McGill players avoid first contact. Also there is no pressure on the QB, only one sack and it was a lucky one. There is NO pressure from the inside. I will repeat myself again, but please tell me why Cain-Trembaly is on the sideline, while he looks like the only one able to provide decent and constant pressure from the inside. During one of his few appearances, this guy almost get the QB for a big lost...did they give up on this player??? By the way I don't personnally know this player personnally, but I certainly know what he can do from last year beofre his injury, and from his great years at CEGEP where he finished second in sacks with 14. Last few years Defense was McGill's best friend, this year they will need to score more than 40 points to win one of their last three games. I am a big fan of McGill as I have already said, and hopefully some adjustments will be made cause Bishop's and Montreal will have a nice buffet for their Offense, even if Carabins is struggling at QB, they can run the ball.... Enjoy this season of football!!! Mike |

Very good post, MikeSharp.
Who were the other starters on the OL, besides Spooner and Méthot? Do you think they should use Duvernay-Tardif or perhaps Spooner at DT? |
Other starters on OL were Daloze, Ravensbergen and Duvernay-Tardif. They did a great job.
This OL is playing great football they should not change anything to it. I will never address crticism against a specific player, and it will not change today...but I would prefer the combination of Lewis and Cain-Tremblay in the middle; you will get more pressure with a guy like Cain-Tremblay; he can also protect the run...or they can simply put him as a Quick (DE) outside, it used to be his bread and butter. Again, I don't know why he is not playing? For me it is critical that some adjustments are made to the DL. Kadeem Lewis left the game fourth quarter and we don't really know about his condition. If he is not playing, it will truly be a big lost to a DL that never really delivered the expectations. But again, I am saying all this with all respect to the Donovan's. |
Bons commentaires. Merci Mike.
